Surveying and Boundaries (1922):
?ÿ?ÿ
Interesting wordsmithing; "...in the practical location of the lines made at a time when the original monuments were presumably in existence."?ÿ?ÿ
This is a beautiful way to describe a most pertinent element of weighing evidence in the course of boundary recovery, imho.
When my late father realized that I wished to become a land surveyor, he handed me a brand spanking new just released copy of Clark (edited by Grimes, 1976). In the fourth edition, this is in ?? 303 and was part of one of the first two chapters I was instructed to read (Chapters 14 & 15, Tracking a Survey and Evidence to Identify and Locate Tracts, Corners and Lines).?ÿ It has served me well.
@steve-brosemer I have the 4th edition in my official office downtown.
@dave-o the first edition (1922) is free on Google books.
