I'm staking some parcels that merge into earlier tracts the office surveyed 7 years ago. The PC comes in and I had a note that the two monuments for the 2012 set of tracts that are shown on a 1/16th line (North line S2SW4) aren't on the line.?ÿ

The locations are plotted in the drawing with a big red comment note.

NOT ON LINE!!!!!

Sooo, I zoom in to see what happened, seems the two monuments are 0.18' and 0.15' off the line...ƒ??ƒ??.

Ok, maybe should have been better than that, but this is a 1/2 mile of line in very broken country, possibly since both are under two different irrigation canals they may have slipped a bit downhill in the 7 years, but I do know that no one would have even wondered about it 25 years ago.?ÿ

Now that we seem to check in .02' or less most of the time our perspective has changed.?ÿ

Soon, another dead horse will be beaten repeatedly.

I'm with BStrand. ?ÿThey were found. ?ÿAs the M&M's say about Santa, they "really do exist!"

Everyone needs to learn that numbers are just numbers. ?ÿMonuments are the real deal.
