Cattle Guard vs. Stock Gap

Kent, We call those cattle/sheep grids in OZ.

The gaps do not have the grid, but occasionally the grids have that gap fence as described above

It is a wire gate/gap similar to some described above, except a vehicle won't fit, only wide enough for stock, sometimes in West Texas called a horse gate (gap)

I assume the property line is in the middle.

Like many of the others, the "stock gap" is the lane between pastures/landowners used for transferring/stopping cattle. The cattle guard is as you have shown. The "gap" is a "wire gap" or "East Texas Gate" and none are as elaborate as some shown here.

We called "Cattle Gaps", I guess a kind of hybrid name.
