For some reason today, my data collector is running super slow. I've hard booted the thing a bunch of times. No luck. I was wondering if anyone knew if I can factory reset it or is there a way to free up the RAM in it? Or.. Is this a Windows mobile 6.1 issue?? What could've of changed in a day. By the way, It runs so slow I can't even use survCE. So im dead in the water..
Thanks!!

Connect the unit to your PC using your favorite connection utility (Mobile Device Center or ActiveSync).

then explore files.

you should see that there are two storage disks on the Surveyor+.

One is 1 Gb and is where you data files should be being stored. The other is 256 Mb and should contain the OS install as well as program files. The OS install + the loaded program files will take up a fairly significant part of the 256 Mb disk and if you are also storing data there, particular if you have dxf files in there too, you could be crowding the available capacity. If that is true, it can make the device run slowly.

Probably just a wild hare, but you don't know until you look...

If you are running out of storage if you haven't already done it you can add a MicroSD card in a slot under the battery. We had a unit freeze up and we sent it in and they reflashed the windows operating system.
