One man band here,
Downloaded Carlson 2013 Intelli, (well more than) 20 days ago.
Have played with it for a week or so and have finally learned how to get my drawings done.
Demo had 6 days left, and I decided to purchase the software.
Local state dealer emailed my the license code this afternoon (4:00PM).
I jump in (8:30PM) to edit a drawing (did not register using emailed code)
"2dline" function disabled
"save as" function disabled
"print" function disabled
I cannot find anywhere to enter the code and I have about 1.X hours plus
editing into a drawing on the demo mode.
Any suggestions to deal with this on the fly?

Go to Help, About Carlson, then there should be a button at the bottom that says Change Registration or maybe just Register since you're on a demo copy.
Did that in the drop down menu.
Command Line showed this message:

I shut it down, dumped my changes.

When I ran the demo version last year it was full functioning. If you are having issues like that I would suggest a reboot of the computer and if issues persist I would do a clean install.
Broken Lath, go to the Carlson website and download the latest build of the software you purchased. Use the registration number that the VAR gave you on the new install. A lot of people had problems with converting the demo disc.
Your dwg file should still be good. If you saved it in a project folder you should be able to open it with your new download. If you dumped it, recover it from the recycle bin, You may not have lost a thing.
(On the Carlson website under Survey with embedded AutoCAD in the Discussion Groups you will find a step by step on how to load the latest build. These steps work on all versions of Carlson. Sounds scary, but it works.)

I believe the issue was on my end.
I had been saving a number of versions some of which being 2007 CAD dwg.
For no apparent reason, when I popped open the drawing that looked like
the last revision, all these errors occurred.
I dumped the changes and opened a drawing back up and all worked out fine.
The only strange thing was that it would not accept the license key.
But it had all the functions that I was used to.
I can only guess that I was working in a 2007 CAD dwg and the 2dline was not an option.
As for the save and print being blocked...... I'm at a loss.

Just wanted to let you know, you should be eligible for ICad 2014.
I bought the 2013 just before 2014 came out and was told by
support not to update 2013 but to install the 2014. All the best.
If you just purchased the software, the serial number you were furnished is for Carlson 2014. They would not sell or furnish a serial number for the 2013 version at this point.
