The problem is most noticeable in switching between pspace and mspace. Running I7 chip set with 24g ram and ssd drives. The problem is machine specific as dwgs run fine on other machines.

If you're in a network environment, borrow a license. Carlson pings the license server with EVERY command! Has slowed me to a crawl in the past.

Interesting, we are using a stand alone install, we could have selected something during the last install that invoked the ping. How did you stop the problem?

How old is the install of windows? Did this always happen or did something change?

I have started running Wise Registry Cleaner on all my systems.

Trust me, you didn't accidentally install a network license. It's pretty heavy-duty. 🙂

Good to hear. Have you been running the machine for a while? Is this the first instance of Carlson on the machine or is it an update? Is it running on it's own or on top of CAD? IntelliCAD? Are you willing to try a re-install? Don't rush into that just yet.

I recall an issue with AutoCAD Map 2006 w/ Carlson. I had to turn off the Map Skin for things to run smoothly.

The newer CAD has given me some trouble with the video card and on some machines I have to turn off the Hardware Acceleration and turn it back on. Usually that is a lagging mouse issue.

Some details would probably point someone here in the right direction.
