Has anybody had any luck with importing Google Earth Pro images into projects?
I have to use the standard version of Google Earth in order to get it to work.

I'd like to know about this too.
I haven't had any problems inserting the images, of course they are not geo-referenced or anything, but that can be delt with.
command -" Google_image" - itellicad version wait for the time out and follow the directions.
Not sure why this is not of the Standard Carlson Survey, use to be.
I am using the Carlson Civil Suite...I can get the image to come in normally, but the Images> Place Google Earth Image command doesn't work unless you are using the regular version of Google Earth. I have tried it several times with Pro and it locks up and stalls out. Would like to have some sort of idea of whether or not this is a Carlson issue or a Tompkins issue.
It appears the COM API is missing from GE Pro, it broke some of our functionality also. I would suggest you begin looking elsewhere for imagery.

If you're using Carlson Civil Suite:
1. Click Settings -- Carlson Menus -- GIS Menu
2. Click GIS Data -- ESRI ArcGIS Services -- Retrieve Map
3. Enable the World Imagery option as shown below:

I tried what you said and it said "Communication Error"??
Not sure what that means but it acts like it needs the internet to adjust those settings.
Correct, the ArcGIS Online Services requires an Internet connection to retrieve the data. If your computer has an Internet connection, see if it can reach http://server.arcgisonline.com via a web browser. If it can reach this URL, check to see if you have the most recent build of Carlson for your version by visiting http://www.carlsonsw.com/support/software-downloads/?product=Carlson . If this doesn't bear any results, a call in to the Carlson Technical Support Group would be the next suggested course of action.
