Is there a place to get cables repaired?

I have found that you can Google and find most of the connectors and cable supplies online.
Ham radio operators are very inventive and/or know how to or where to patch connectors.
I have also used a few other local radio communication shops to find connectors and mend broken cables.
Finding them on a day they are wanting to be creative and helpful is sometimes a matter of luck.
