Does anyone have experience with Barnel tools? This is an American company in Oregon. I am looking at the B36A loppers with the aluminum handles. I am no longer going to buy anything made with steel from a foreign country.

Any advantage/disadvantage over having the alloy aluminum handles vs. the traditional wooden handles?

It might be a disadvantage if you clipped an electric fence or electric wire with metal handles.

Jerry, it isn't clear if they have a mfg. plant up in Portland, or if they outsource the mfg. I have not heard of them, but that doesn't mean much.

The comment about alum handles and electricity is valid, but you could easily wrap the handles in some kind of non-conductive tape/wrap and be careful if operating in wet environs.
