Hopefully this is something that will catch on. I was looking at a nearby county GIS map with a photo clicked on. As I was zooming into look at a site the photo became blurry, the engineer looking over my shoulder said to click the parcel lines off. Sure enough the photo cleared up, I turned to him and said "Awesome!!!", finally someone gets it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't know if this is SOP anywhere else but it sure is a good idea, one I've been telling the local GISers to do for years. I figured it wasn't possible.
Not that I can do anything about it (even working at esri), but is the photo a "pop-up" or what I would call the imagery base map (backdrop)? After the photo resolves can you turn the parcel lines back on again?

No, when parcel lines are on the photo washes out and becomes unusable, which is as it should be. Ive been imploring the local GISers to do just that, it would save so many headaches if they would do it. When you are zoomed way out they both can be on but as you zoom in the photo leaves, its almost perfect!!!!:)
