Well, I'll be a chicken's gizzard.

One clue lead to another to another. Called a buddy. Said I bet they had conducted a survey in 1992 or earlier that would be the answer to my conundrum. Laid it all out including the most likely client name. Within 15 minutes there was confirmation and a suggestion I drop by and pick up a copy of the plat plus the section corner reports.

Silly people back in 1991/1992 paid to have a survey made to locate the east 120 acres of the north half of the section then completely ignored the nice description prepared by the surveyor. The deed is for the east 120 acres. Short, simple, horribly confusing to those who know better. I can just hear some attorney telling them that the shorter, simpler description would be the best way to go at that time. %&$#*@&^% attorneys!

With all due respect to our sacred bovine, the last I checked all days end in a "Y". Even today, yesterday, the other day, but oddly tomorrow does not. Weird, eh.... 😉

I kinda am partial to tomorrows myself. But that's just me.
