In full disclosure, I took that photo. When I stepped out of the truck that day I knew I had to capture the beautiful scene. I was humbled to have it selected for the 2022 Surveyor Connect Calendar.?ÿ

If you don't have your 2022 Surveyor Connect Calendar yet its not too late!

Nice picture with the blue sky and white clouds,

it sure looks like a good place for a survey job.

@christ-lambrecht?ÿ

Thank you. The site is part of the W. Kerr Scott Reservoir. The main work was on the opposite side of the creek that is on the left side of the photo. This was a small topo job for the replacement of a culvert that collapsed under the access road to a campground. The photo was taken while I was looking for some open sky to set control with GNSS.

Nice.?ÿ Where's the surveying gear?

If I were composing that, I'd aim just a little higher and to the right, so the barn was nearer the 1/3 points of the picture with the tree filling the upper right, and the fence making more of a border at the bottom. That's just me.

I was driving to work, a few days ago. As I drove down this old county road, I spotted this barn. I love the stories barns could tell, if they could talk. So, I passed it a little, backed up, and took it out the drivers window. I will have to go by there again. I may try your suggestions. Where was the equipment? in the truck. Not set up and working yet.

So, at your request, I like my Javad. (Grin!)

Nate
