Hello,

I land survey for directional drill work so am by no means a real surveyor. Mainly just do topo and lease surveying along an alignment.?ÿ

I have been asked by a friend to help Survey his land to dig a drainage ditch. He would like everything to reference the Cadastrals and I am not familiar with 10TM grid or ATS. Everything I do is in NAD83.

?ÿ

I do not have 10Tm in my data collector or ATS.

I typically either use can-net or RTK.

Any advice to help me setup to be able to survey in the required grid?

?ÿ

Trimble R8S base and rover?ÿ

Trimble TSC3 data collector.?ÿ

CadLT

Cad Civil 3D (very new to me) (very 😉 )

?ÿ

Thanks in advance.?ÿ

I suggest you advise your friend to hire the appropriate Alberta licensed professional land surveyor; don't get involved in his boundaries.?ÿ It can get very expensive very fast if he digs his drainage ditch on his neighbor's property.

I do not disagree. The property markers are there and the ditch / excavations will be mid of large farm field to a pond as well they own the surrounding land?ÿ
