That's what I'm going to start using to describe what really goes on here. How many times have you found the answer to a question you have simply by following the threads on Beerleg/SurveyorConnect? It happens to me rather frequently. I didn't ever get around to asking the question and no one intentionally told me the answer. It's that mystical, magical accidental collaboration thing. I now know the answer. That's the important thing.

We all get to be the "mouse in a corner" and observe all sorts of wondrous survey-related conversations without the participants in that conversation knowing we are listening in. They assume SOMEONE is paying attention, but, have little feedback to tell them just how beneficial that conversation was to someone or many, many someone's.

Collaboration ? Or Do You Mean Corraboration ?

I meant collaboration as it is the overall joint effort that is occuring accidentally to which I was referring. Corroborating is what we frequently do after an answer has clearly been given to a question asked. Sometimes we sort of corroborate the subject to death.

collaboration (k??læb??re???n)

— n (often foll by on, with, etc )
1. the act of working with another or others on a joint project
2. something created by working jointly with another or others

corroborate

— vb
1. ( tr ) to confirm or support (facts, opinions, etc), esp by providing fresh evidence: the witness corroborated the accused's statement
