Something to mention again relating to monuments and measurements is that the entire monument is the monument.?ÿ The monument is not a fly speck somewhere on the monument that the measurer believes to be the?ÿ true horizontal point that the center of their measuring implement was directly above at the moment the button was pushed (whether it was or it wasn't is unknown).
