Just had a discussion with a potential client. He wanted my pricing explained to him which I did. Next thing I knew I was was listening to a cost comparison between surveying and semi truck driving.
I guess I never realized the two were related fields before today.
Sure hope he doesn't call back.

You bet. Those truck drivers are paid far too much for just sitting on their butts all day, sippin' soda, watchin' a miniature TV and gettin' neck rubs from some gal with 11.5 teeth they found at the last truck stop.

Sounds like a job I was doing for some guys years ago that was all about tracking drink inventories for resorts. Some how or another a conversation went from me building a USB device driver for an integrated data collector (not unlike the Carlson Explorer) with a barcode scanner into backnia. I never heard of backnia before - it is basically acne on the back. If anyone can figure out that connection, God Bless you!! In some fashion or another this guy could fit backnia into any kind of analogy.

Then one day he calls me out of the blue and wants me to write a robot to ping another website of his just run up his hit count. I did that in about a day. And, yet again the backnia thing comes up again.

To this day I see no corollaries between backnia and anything. He managined to wiggle into everything we discussed in some way or another. I have never the term before or since.
