And the first tread fits!
Nice...
15 full size treads, and two 2 foot wide flush treads.
107 feet long compound curve.
I'm not even gonna guess what that costs with material, shipping, and labor.
Nice work Scott.
It's stuff like that that separates the men from the boys.
It would be really cool to work with you for a week or so. I have never had to deal with the tolerances that you and your crews work with on a daily basis. You definitely have to stay on your toes.
Thanks for sharing.

Scott-
My hat goes off to you and your squad.
What did you do to lay out the base ?
Back when the Earth was cooling I was the consulting surveying firm's IM on the New City Hall for the City of Toronto using a plumb bob on a four screw K&E.
We had to verify the engineering lay out for the curved "eyebrows" that had precast ornamental concrete sections to be fixed to the outside mounting form.
At the seventh floor set up on greased steel forms ...............
TG for concrete cement that "eases" in the gaps !
Cheers,
Derek
Looks like something being built for a king in Egypt, except there are too many wheels in the picture.
Ahhhhh, the sweet exhale of relief.
