Shortly before 9am this morning work stopped at the World Trade Center.
Every worker on the site climbed out from the basements or gathered on the edges of the Towers.
The 25 cranes on site turned towards the Memorial.
One hoisted a large American Flag.

At exactly 9:11am all horns on the site sounded for one minute and all workers faced the Memorial and bowed thier heads.

It stayed quiet for 10 minutes...

And here I was flabbergasted by the Field of Flags this morning in our local City park.

It is very encouraging to see this. Thanks, Scott.

Tower 1

Bad pic, but it is red, white, and blue, as of this morning.

I heard about that today. Our local afternoon talk radio personality, Rusty Humphries, has been broadcasting from up there all week. He had Don Rumsfeld on the phone for a while this afternoon and he described exactly what you did. I figured you were probably there as well. Rumsfeld was the site when all that went on. You guys might even have crossed paths during the day.

Ironically during commercial breaks I was reading the article about you in Prof. Surveyor. Too bad it's only 2 pages. I was thinking that being it's been 10 years ago now that I might resurrect the site I made with all those pics and narratives you sent me years ago. I still have it all (I'm pretty sure I do). You remember. The one where your higher-ups "strongly" suggested I take it down.
E.
