Just got my 15C.

Sadly, the number 4 key is completely dead right out of the box.

What a joke.

If you ordered from the HP site they offer a guarantee.

Many of the new HP15C on ebay are defective and over priced. Others that are there are the genuine collector items and their status and worth varies.

The one I received arrived within 48hrs of order, survived some abuse from my 18mo old daughter who loves punching buttons of any electrical gadget and has performed like a champ.

good luck

Yesterday, I put a friend's 15c up for sale on ebay. I was quite surprised to see how much even broken calculators were going for (though it shouldn't surprise me at this point!).

Though my friend's 15 has been abused over the years, it does still seem to work though I did not give it a thorough workout.

Are your shift keys a bit "jiggly?"

This thing sure lacks the quality of those I used back in the 80's.

I should have expected trouble from a unit with the string "1320" in the serial number. 🙂

$100 for a calculator based primarily on nostalgia - I think HP saw you nostalgia seekers coming! 😛
