I am going to upgrade my laptop from windows xp to windows 7.

However, my trusty TGO is still working fine - I do not have TBC.

My question is, will TGO continue to work in windows 7?

thanks!

I would like to do that, my Dell 780 is limited to 2gb ram and Win7 needs at least 4gb.

I got it to work on my win7 machine with a work around found on the internet. I never really checked it all out to see if there were issues. I was told by the trimble rep that it wasn't. But not sure if that was them trying to keep me from using and getting a sale or the truth. Give it a try!

windows 7 - TGO

Yes, TGO can be made to work in Windows 7 (with a few small caveats)

The following thread contains a link to an excellent document compiled by Glenn Borkenhagen as well as a number of other useful tidbits of information.

A search of the Surveyor Connect site using "TGO" and "Windows 7" or "Win 7" will yield more great information.

Or if you are in a hurry and want to get at the meat of it right away without reading through the thread, here is the direct link to Glenn's instructions:

Instructions for installing TGO on a Windows 7 computer

TGO works just fine in WIN 7 64 bit professional version if you follow the instructions as outlined by Itsmagic post. Also, after it is installed and running correctly, go up to the services tab on surveyor connect and select Rinex Dates to get a great utility from Christof that will allow you to continue post processing current DAT files.
