I am looking for a detail for a simple concrete weir?
Like a 1'x8'x3' ish type thing with maybe some rebar in it.
No side forms, just a backhoe hole with the top set at the critical elevation, and the concrete can mesh into the existing soil on the sides and bottom....etc.
Do you have such a thing you are willing to share with me in dwg?
Thanks, Brad

Some things to consider is seepage around the concrete and scour downstream of the drop.
Sort of a base for rebar is .0025 of the area (T&S steel). Water structures need plenty of steel, cracks in a water structure wall cause corrosion of the steel and freeze thaw chips away at the concrete.
NRCS might have some engineering standards you could use.
Like this??
For everything you might ever need to know about basic structural design for simple concrete and frame structures check out the resources of the Midwest Plan Service housed on the campus of Iowa State University. Their Structures and Environment Handbook is one of the handiest reference books you'll ever see. The Farm and Home Concrete Construction handbook is far smaller but may be of significant help for do-it-yourselfers. Google it.
Instead of a weir have you considered...
