We moved from the Carlson software to Trimble Business Center. I am plotting out some road work on an industrial plant we are currently working on. I have all of the straight runs plotted out, and for the life of me, I cannot find the feature to plot an arc for my curves. I read a blog post from the 22nd of april where they released the feature into the CAD section but I have found no such feature.

Another issue I'm having is properly transferring the job file to the data collector. I doubt I am doing it correctly. When I finally managed to get the job file to the data collector, none of the line work, nor my layers transferred.
We use the Trimble TSC3's

Any assistance would be helpful! Thanks!

I usually just do a printout and get curves just fine. If you were trying to get a scaled plot like an Autocad file; TBC isn't setup to work that way.

It's been awhile since I've worked with TBC, but I'll give you what I remember. When exporting out a corridor/alignment use the "RXL road exporter from surface" routine. It will give you some extra stationing/offset capabilities.

If you are just doing an alignment, under the surface tab select "none". There are also a number of other options/settings at the very bottom of the creation page that may be very useful in your situation.

I also recommend YouTube for a lot of good quick tutorials for this kind of stuff. A search will give you lots of choices.

Sorry I couldn't be more help. I used to know this stuff better. But have moved into different areas.

Don't know if this will help but make sure your PCs drivers are current by running Access Installation Manager. If the version of Access on the TSC3 is newer than the drivers on the PC the files may not work.

Lee have you thought of going full time into the TBC support business? It should be fairly lucrative as Trimble doesn't seem to have given support very much thought. Of course, we can just call the support number at 1-800-???-????.

They do offer support through a paid service, which is disappointing considering Trimble is already very tight on what they charge for their products.

I considered going into consulting but I'm happy where I'm at.
