We set up control to traverse between two known points. When we had the two known points tied into the job, I transformed the survey to the known coordinates in the Controller (a simple translate then rotate). Unknown to me, this deletes the raw data in the Controller so that I can’t make a complete RW5 file in the controller. It only includes the RAW data after the transformation. Apparently the raw data is in there, it’s just marked deleted and I see no way to undelete it. Is there a way to undelete the raw data in the controller?

I imported the job into TBC and was able to enable all the observations it had disabled but I would still like a RW5 file so I can convert it to the StarNet DAT format. I like to run things through StarNet too just because I'm more confident in it. TBC hurts my head.

Fortunately, I set up the project so that TBC will be able to handle it. I set the total station on one GPS point and backsighted the other GPS point. That is pretty much a requirement if you want TBC to be able to properly match your conventional data to your GPS data. I've learned that through the school of hard knocks.

Funny thing is I ask our other Party Chief about the problem and he said, don't translate your survey to your coordinates, translate your coordinates to your survey then you will be able to export all of your raw data. He has had the same thing happen.

This should bring Kent back. I can hear the gnashing of teeth over this scenario ...
