How do I configure Topcon MAGNET Field to automatically draw lines between the points on the map screen as I'm doing my topo?

Why does everyone have this same question???

Why don't dealers help with this. Oh it's because dealers and surveyors don't like to pay for training, don't read the manual, manual is not well written, and everyone wants the easy way, and they want it free.

Field Dog I offered to help you with this the last time I was in Florida.

Rant over.

I gave my question some more thought, and I remembered using TopSURV software on an FC-250. We used "&" codes for linework. This helped me refine my search in the MAGNET Field Help manual (magnet_field_v300_help_manual_en.pdf).

Page 195, Point tab

If the code type is Line or Area, an icon will display that the point
belongs to a line or area. Set a string and, if required, a control code.

Page 195, String and Control Codes

Up to two control codes can be specified for every code associated with
a point to store the points which will be connected to form open or closed
polylines.

See page 196 for the supported control codes of line behavior.

I always appreciate your help, and regret that I wasn't able to get together with you on your last visit to Florida.
