I don't remember the procedure, but figure out how to do a hard reset (maybe hold down the power key for 10+ sec).?ÿ If it's like the FC-2500, the OS is on a Read-Only-Memory chip and will reload after a hard reset.?ÿ Then you can download from Topcon whatever version of TopSurv or Magnet that you have a license for if you still need to reload the software.?ÿ I often managed to lock my FC-2500 up so severely that I was sure it was FUBAR.?ÿ A hard reset always fixed it.?ÿ

There should be a manual just for the FC-2600.?ÿ If you don't have one, visit Topcon Support and download one.?ÿ Figure out how to do a Hard Reset.?ÿ

On the FC-2000's I think there was a hard reset button which you would press with a ball point pen in the battery compartment. Have a look in the same location for it.

According to the manual I downloaded from Topcon, holding down the on/off button for 10+ seconds will cold boot the FC-2600.?ÿ If that doesn't cause the DC to reboot into Windows then you have issues that will likely require service.
