Ok, its been a long time, but does anyone have or could point me to the old TDS raw data processing program? we blew the dust off of an old robot using TDS and need to edit the raw data and re-process the file. Thanks
Any AutoCAD or Carlson Survey Module. And although I have limited direct knowledge, I was under the belief that all Field Surveying software processed TDS raw data.
Try renaming the raw data file to something your software recognize?
Yeah, what oldpacer said.?ÿ The rw5, raw, or whatever it is, can be handled by Carlson or probably C3D.
I need to re-process the file for a bad backsite!?ÿ Thanks
Dont have those programs, there used to be a long time ago, a stand alone program from TDS that worked well. Thanks
You could go to carlsonsw.com and download the software, and use it for the trial period.
If it' just a bad BS, you could import into another dwg, and then insert that into you base dwg as a block, and then rotate to the correct BS orientation.
Try Carlson Xport.?ÿ I think you can use it free for a certain # of uses.?ÿ We use it every now and then when needed.?ÿ TBC also works as well.
Are you thinking of Kermit?
I agree with the process in CAD, as I have done it often enough. Usually it is the cell phone call just as I am setting up my next setup. Print out your raw data, then rotate in Carlson. If you just entered the wrong backsight number it is a simple, rotate from wrong to right. Translate and rotate is not a problem either. It may be necessary to create a temp point to facilitate the process. I use a red pen to markup my raw data, date and initial it. I have fouled up with SMI and Carlson data collectors.
