I'm struggling with CSM in that I cannot get my old .csd files to work with TBC on my new PC.

We have a bunch of custom Systems that I would like to migrate over to the "current" .csd file and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get them into the "group". The old CSM with TGO would let you right click "copy" from one .csd to another.

I've tried overwriting the current "current.csd" with our older custom "current.csd" (located in the appropriate "geodata" folder and CSM won't read/open it.

I really don't want to rebuild all of these custom projections.

Anyone have experience with with same issue and can offer some advice?:-/

Rob,

I ran into a similar situation when I installed TGO on a Win7 pc.
Long story short I had mutiple directories with the CSD files.
Common FilesTrimbleGeoData
and
C:ProgramDataTrimbleGeoData
I had to redirect to the correct directory in TGO,
That worked for me in TGO,

Chr.

Try going to view, then hidden records. Search for your datum, then right click on it and select unhide.
I had the same problem, and it turned out all my datums were just hidden!

I would have to agree with the solution. If you're using a 64bit version of windows then TBC may have installed the coordinate system into:

C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesTrimbleGeoData

But the program wants to look into the old location, from when you were using a 32-bit operating system:

C:Program FilesCommon FilesTrimbleGeoData

Or, possibly... none of the above, but instead:

C:ProgramDataTrimbleGeoData

Copy your current CSD into these three locations (create the directories if need be), and I bet it solves your problem.
