Hi guys,
From time to time on SurvPC, the point numbering goes haywire, following the pattern of my station numbers with a prefix instead of following the pattern of my detail points (digits only).
This can lead to F2F misinterpretations (consecutive points are no longer considered as such).
Do you have a technique or a tool to solve such problems? The only painful method I've found is to manually edit (using Notepad++ and DB Browser) the :
- RW5
- VTT
- NOT
- CRDB
When I contacted Carlson about this, they were no help.
Do you have a better technique / tool to do this in a less painful way?
Thanks in advance!

At the moment there is no way to rename points in SurvCE/PC in the way that you prefer. We will take note of your request and put it on the list of requests for the next major upgrade.
I haven't updated to 7.0 release yet, but I don't remember seeing such a tool implemented.
I think I'd be more concerned and wanting to fix this haywire thing you speak of.
We re-number points for many reasons. And using either notepad to edit the rw5 or within the raw editor always seems to work. Well, except when someone in the field really messes things up and sometimes tries to fix it, and makes it worse.
But as said, you might have bigger issues if you're DC is randomly messing around with your point numbers
