Can you? How? Not the horizontal area encompassed by the TIN but the actual surface area. Seems like it should be in there, but I can't find it.
Thanks

Look for Slope Report on the Surface menu? It may not be included in your package.

It isn't unfortunately - in "Civil" but not "Survey"

If you want, email a drawing of the 3dFaces to dotson [at] dotsoft [dot] com and I'll reply with the 3dArea. Might be able to read the .TIN file, not positive about that.

I did a little digging... see if the sarea key-in command gets you what you need.

Wowsers! First Mr Dotson was kind enough to run the TIN through his software, then Mr Nelson discovered a hidden command (it worked) - all in a few hours. Good old SurveyorConnect!
(even my ball park handcalc seemed to work - hypotenuse/horizontal for 3:1 slope = 1.05 x horizontal area....)
I know exactly how much Bentonite we need! (some kind of clay for sealing earth dams....never heard of it 'til a week ago..no relation to kryptonite:bye:)
