that make you happy.

Like when you figure out a very basic procedure in auotcad that really simplifies plat drawing....something you wish you had known for the last 5 years.

Actually Daniel, I have wanted to take a sledge hammer to the printer a few times, but that's not it.

I'm ashamed to admit it, but I have just figured out how to make a block of multi-line text wider or more narrow without changing the text size or reprinting it. I'm self taught on cad so there are a LOT of even simple things I hit and miss at until I find the best way to do them.

On the off chance there is someone else like me out there:
[edit text]
select the text block
right click on the gray line at the top of the edit window
a small window will open with the existing width
enter the new width.

That's a lot easier than shifting stuff around the plat until you find a space wide enough for the block after line work starts creeping into it.

I just found out that you can move the "fields"(?) of AECC pts with regular acad commands. (don't even have to use grips)

I was used to using DCA pts, where the pt#, elv and desc were block attributes. (requiring "attedit")

I "just knew" if I moved the elev in an AECC point it would move the node, so never even tried it.

Doh!
