When I enter hatch on a drawing I get a random, vertical, dashed line elsewhere in the drawing.
I can't select it, delete it or zoom in on it.?ÿ When I delete the hatch, though, it goes away.
When I select everything in the drawing it doesn't change colors like everything else does, so I tried moving the rest of the drawing to another place, but it ended up showing up again.
Any clues what's going on or how to fix it?
I suspect you are hatching an unclosed polygon.
Your hatch boundary is not closed. You can click on the hatch, "extract" the boundary, then offset it it 0.2' in either direction, then offset it back. That should solve it.b

I clicked on the hatch, it lit up the random line and I deleted them and then reentered a new hatch and all is well.
