Thank you for your answering. Yeah by now we just have been using FRT created by old software something called LGO tools by Leica. It is still working exporting the data as ASCII file, but yeah as you said I also don't think it is possible to utilize linework which Captivate newly introduced.. LGO tools seem to remain an antique machine. I am new to this field actually so I don't know those industrial standards but XML seems the most safe option for data transfer between different softwares in terms of preserving those survey information??ÿ
It might not be worthy to develop the whole convertor just for the sake of utilizing linework because string attributes are just working for now even though it is such a pain to edit "two" numbers on screen...

However, from what you answered, there might be more good reasons to develop custom convertor for that flexibility and a chance of optimizing the process so I would like to know more about how you did.
