Start the polyline or line command:PL or L then enter.

Pick the base point or the point you wish to draw your line from with a left mouse click. Type an apostrophe then BD ('BD) with no spaces then hit enter.

You will be able to draw lines or polylines using the typical C3D method of typing 1,2,3, or 4 then enter (quadrants clockwise with 1 representing NE) followed by degrees minutes seconds entered dd.mmss. followed by distance.
