I tried the online carlsonemea file viewer using the same source file (see below) that i used in my post above. The first half (approx) of the output agreed with the Copan output, but four out of five observations were missed!

Martin,
I've been in touch with the developer of that today.
The UI is not all that intuitive.
You need to select the "Total station" (top left "Select report type") option.
I made the same mistake.
I made a file out of your data to test it. And it's fine. My program loads what ever you give it regardless.
Me and the developer are emailing back and forth about differences between report types. His may do some stuff far above simple viewing which is what I built and am re-building. My new version is already allowing you to edit stuff - within reason of course (can't change record type codes --- bad bad dog!) 🙂

I won't divulge details but will say it was built for the European users and they are apparently heavy on GPS reports which is what the site defaults to. I don't have a clue how much time was spent on the web based thing you tried but I have mine loading files and displaying everything (maybe not pretty - yet) and you can now edit about a half-dozen record types.

Try again.
E.

I definitely did have Total Stn selected (i double-checked just now).
When you tried with my data:
Did you get the same results that Copan gave (repeated here)?

Or did you get this, which contains only one of the four observations

Dear Martin,

May I ask which program generated this RW5 file?
The online report generator at the CarlsonEMEA website is designed for Carlson .RW5 format generated by SurvCE.

Thank you in advance,
greetings,
Floris.

Nothing else to do at this moment

I think that's changed by now 😉

Greetings,
Floris
