PDFIMPORT is an unknown command on my Civil3D 2016.
It sounds good though, which AutoCAD are you using that has it?
That appears to be correct. I have Civil 3D 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019 installed on this PC. PDFIMPORT does appear in 2017 onwards, but not 2015. I would assume if it is/isn't in Civil 3D, then it is/isn't in AutoCAD.
I feel like there??s something I??m missing, but for what it??s worth; can??t you just do a ??save as? of the pdf, and change the extension type to jpg? Or if you want the pdf, I type xref to open the xref dialog box, right click inside of that, and there is an ??insert pdf? (or something along those lines) option. And I align and scale it onto property lines or something well defined.
Yes, but you need Adobe Acrobat to save as jpg.
In Adobe Acrobat Pro DC
Under the file menu select: Export to
In that flyout select: Image
In that flyout select the kind of Image file to want saved.
Give it a name and Save it.

If you use TBC you can just import a PDF file directly.?ÿ Won't AutoCAD do that?
I've been using the Universal Document Converter for years now with Carlson Survey and have been quite happy with it. If you go on their website they should still offer a free download which is fully functional except that it leaves a watermark on the file. Last time I had to upgrade/ reload the program it cost about $40, so it's not a very big investment.
Any pdf viewer with pdfcreator will do the same thing.?ÿ https://www.pdfforge.org/pdfcreator
The new version has a dialog that allows you save in many different formats including png which I find works best in Autocad.
If you're using AutoCAD 2018 or newer, they read PDF files now. You can even scale them and snap to lines within the PDF.
