So coming from SURVCE, I'm used to staking out centerline and profile using the native Carlson formats. What is the best way to get them into a format that magnet understands? I have magnet tools, office, and field.

LandXML format is the best way to exchange alignments.
You need the roadway module in Magnet Field.
