Is there a way to see the linework in Lieca Viva when using Carlson F2F codes (or C3D codes)?

yes by using attributes...

i am brand new to smartworx but recently found a way to do exactly what you are asking.

when creating the code, its best to set it as a point, then choose "begin line" so that way smartworks will act like carlson (i.e. starting lines by alpha-numerica input)

for example:

CODE: BLD
ATTRIBUTE 1: 1

this will start a line automattically just by typeing a number in the attribute 1 text field. If you change it to

CODE: BLD
ATTRIBUTE 1: 2

then a new line will start and so on...

there is some more set up that you will need to dig into such as stringing attributes

when you export the ascii you can choose to include "point info" and the attributes will show up in the description

when you import the points into carlson, carlson will create a crd file which can be used for F2F as you normally do.

sorry i was in a bit of a rush typing this but i hope you get the jist.
