I can't seem to find my BLDG line type, apparently it hasn't been loaded.
I get the following error

Linetype "BLDG_0-25_0-10_1-00" not found

Where can I find it to load it?

Ralph

I guessing it will be the last place you look 😀

It should be in your template drawing(s). But if not, type "linetype" then hit the "load" button and navigate to the .lin file that you have custom linetypes created.

If it's not there either you can insert a drawing that you know it exists then delete the unexploded block and all the linetypes (and blocks, text styles etc.) will remain in your current drawing, until you do a purge that is.

Or, you can use "adcenter" (if you're using AutoCAD . . not sure of InteliCAD) and navigate to a drawing you know it exists and select the linetype you want to load, and copy it in to you working drawing.

Hope this helps,
Peter

BLDG_0-25_0-10_1-00

Just curious...
Where did this naming scheme come from?
What makes the linetype so special?

It's a building line

I was hoping to compare notes. I created a linetype that makes the interior crosshatch, but as you can see, it fails at the corners. It's great for digitized or aerial buildings, then for the located buildings I use continuous with a hatch, which fails for buildings with funny angles.

What I do; is draw a polyline around the building, offset into the building, hatch the area between the 2 lines then erase them.

I generally select an offset, and scale the hatch, so it will look right at the scale of my drawing.

Here's a few I created that start with a shape a bit further from the line origin and at an interval a bit greater than your sample, so the "hatch" doesn't cross too often.

*WALL,WALL TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
A,.4,.4,[TRACK1,ltypeshp.shx,x=-.2,y=-.25,s=.25],.4
*WALL2,WALL_OBL /:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/
A,.4,.4,[TRACK1,ltypeshp.shx,r=30.0,x=-.2,y=-.22,s=.25],.4, remove this and spaces here[TRACK1,ltypeshp.shx,r=30.0,x=.2,y=-.09,s=.1],.4
*WALL3,WALL_OB ________
A,.4,.4,[TRACK1,ltypeshp.shx,r=30.0,x=-.2,y=-.22,s=.25],.4

Peter

ps I had to add a space (and some lettering) in the WALL2 description as I was told the "word" is too long, so remove that if you use this.
