Has anyone here tried Longbow Converter. I am a little disappointed with intellicad, I just purchased an upgrade from 2011 to 2016 Carlson with Intellicad 8.1. Today is the first day I actually worked with it all day but had about 4 or 5 crashes. Thanks to lanceboyle93101 for warning me about the crashes, I didn't loose much data. Also noticed that after executing a command there is a slight hesitation after the command, so you have to wait just that extra bit to do a mouse click or you'll find yourself hitting the escape key often to reset the command prompt. I had a hard time consciously slowing down mouse clicks as I drafted. I was drafting with a 2002 AutoCAD version on an older machine with windows xp and may have to install it on a Windows 7, 64 bit if I just can't adjust to drafting with Intellicad.
Command: DELAY
Delays carrying out the next command for a specified time.
Milliseconds to delay: Enter a numeric value specifying the amount of time you want to delay carrying out the next command.
A value of 1,000 is equivalent to a delay of approximately one second.
Why would that even be a desirable feature?
The realtors wanted it installed, to see if they could get the job FASTER, by reducing the "Delay time". (Now they can say "delay time" is just a setting on your computer")
(ha ha ha)

I have. Use it to run 32bit ACAD in Win7 64bit and it works perfectly.

The title of this thread (okay, I'd add another "p") pretty much describes my experience.
I think I'll try that, at least I can eliminate one computer.
didn't see anywhere I can edit the title
Thanks, I will try that. Can I set it to 0?

My understanding is that you can't. I don't know if that's being viewed as a feature or lack of same.
I have ldd 2007 running on win 7 and now win 10 with the longbow converter. Works great but you need to install acad just like they tell you to.
I run Intellicad 2014 and have some issue with it crashing under certain commands due to the amount of data. But by and large have not had that many issues. There was a learning curve due to the different places for the same commands as ACAD, but I draft with it and have gotten quite proficient. (At least I would like to think so) I have not upgraded to the 2016 because I figured there would be some kinks to iron out over the course of a couple of months, and then is should actually be ready.
I used to work for a software company and that's kind of how they operated. Release it for show and then fix it along the way. Seems pretty standard for the software companies without the millions of dollars of R&D.
I kept at it today and it got a little better. I slowed down a little and kept an eye on the command prompt. I was finally able to dock the command prompt on the top where I usually look for it. On AutoCAD and Intellicad 6 you could just drag it there. I still had a few crashes which is annoying because you have remember what order you did things so you can start again. I going to keep at it, there is a lot of Carlson commands to take advantage of. I still may load LongBow for those times I just got to get it done quick. I guess its just going to take some time.
