Any advice on how to convert a tsj file into a point file so I can import this info into Carlson? Thanks!
The simplest way is to go the the Export menu and export the TopSURV coordinates to a ASCII text file. You can customize this file to put what you want in there but the most common would be Point # (Topcon calls this field NAME), North, East, Elev, description (this will be either Codes OR Notes-if you use both or a mixture you may need to save as a CSV file and open in EXCEL to remove the extra , separator to make the file parse correctly in Carlson)
If you want to do this on your PC instead of on the collector, you can use the Topcon Transfer/Conversion utility Topcon Link to do these format conversions including generating a raw data file that you could bring into the Carlson Raw Data editor.
If you have access to the TopSurv software you can use "Export" on the main screen to export a text file which can then be imported into Carlson. The same can be accomplished with Topcon Link which is free. If this is a one time issue, email me the file and tell me what ASCII format Carlson expects (comma delimited PNEZD for example) and I'll convert it for you.

If you are going into SurvCE, text is the way to go. If Carlson desktop is the destination, you can export to dwg or DDR with codes formatted for Carlson compatibility.
