Hello community,

I'm in need of a little assistance on importing a drawing into our handheld gps (Trimble geoxh geoexplorer 6000 series) we no longer have path finder office, so i am unable to upload WPT or SSF files so I have been told i can upload a shape file as a background image to help navigate to a location. I am however having a hard time finding information on how to do so. We are currently running carlson 2020 with intellicad. I have found a way to export a drawing as a ESRI shp file but an unable to import it to the handheld. Any help would be appreciated.?ÿ

?ÿ

mike

Put all 3 or 5 files associated with the "shapefile" onto an SD card. Slip card into Geo, In TerraSync select Map / Options / Background files.?ÿ Switch the pulldown from device to storage card. check box on that same page to view "data files".?ÿ You will have to match projection/CS so it draws.?ÿ Best CS is Choose Geographic, "WGS84" in Carlson, and ensure that is set the same under Setup/Coordinate system in Terrasync.
