I am assuming these are surface files (dtm) and alignment files (alg) but what program created these and how can I get them imported into Carlson, TBC or Terramodel.

Thanks for any information,
Thad

Those are Inroads data files. As in Microstation/Inroads. The alg file does indeed contain alignments if any exist, but it also - and more commonly - contains the point database.

To do anything with them you would need, naturally, Microstation/Inroads. An add on to the latest editions of C3d contains functions to read and convert those files to C3d format.

I believe Carlson 2016 will also convert the files.
