Hello All

I'm using Carlson Takeoff, it works similar to Carlsons other software. I have a cad drawing of a project, and I need to export spot elevations to my DC, Can someone enlighten me as how to do this. I have exported polylines, created tins, I have the coordinate file etc. But I just don't see how to export these points, unless I have to manually select each point on the CAD file. They don't seem to export with my layers either :pinch:

TIA Jeff

That is the only thing I can figure out also, I was hoping that there may be a way to export that layer. There are hundreds of these on this project :-/

I was really hoping that the brain trust here had some ideas, too many 8ft fences to climb I suppose.

Thanks!

If you have the source coordinate file wouldn't it hold the same points as in the map? I'm not familiar with Takeoff but Survey will assign a point to whatever selection set of entities you create with the "autopnts" command. So, I'd create a selection set by running a filter for the block or feature you need translated. Then run the command and select previous. Hopefully the source points are at their true elevation or it could be a pain assigning elevations individually. If you don't have that feature in Takeoff send me the file and I'll take a stab at it.

Peter, Thanks

I don't really care about the elevations, I just want the X and the text which tells me the elevations. As I said the X has a N,E on the dwg so I can then locate the point with my rover and simply use the surface check on survece, which is what I run in my DC.

I've only really figured out how to export polylines with takeoff, I can do something with selection sets, I'll check into it. I know that I can select each X and make a point there but was hoping for an easier way to do the whole drawing.

Jeff
