What do you guys use to view the big (80 meg) files that come as .tif.gz from Earth Explorer? It won't just find the right program on my computer, so I was hoping that someone here knew.

Thanks

If your target application can't handle the compressed files directly, you'lll need to unzip them. The .gz extension indicates a gzip compressed file; there are plenty of utilities that can open gzips; see the http://www.gzip.org/&apos ;">gzip website for a no-cost Windows version.

Take a look at [REDACTED]. It also has georeferencing functions and the ability to modify image transparency.
