You need one of the dongles that converts the little video connector to a VGA connector. This one works for me:

Of course you need the trick keyboard. (I configured mine to turn off the touch pad when my Bluetooth mouse connects.)
The internal speakers are amazing. Battery life is impressive.
I also bought a much smaller laptop bag. I got one that is big enough to pack two days of clothes (for short business trips), enough power bars to survive for two days of plane travel and the SP4. It is still small enough to fit under a seat on a plane.
I really like the SP4. I can't imagine running around without one now that I have one. I use it for everything. It does have problems:
[INDENT]The video driver locks up and a message comes up and says it has been reloaded occasionally. No bad repercussions, and it routinely loads new drivers. I am pretty sure they will get this worked out.
I don't understand how to turn it on all the time: if it is off, you push and hold for a few seconds. If it is in standby you tap the button. Sometimes I have to hold the power key for 30 seconds to force it to reboot. I am sure this problem is just me.
I am positive that I will loose the pen. I probably should just purchase a half dozen of them or tie my pen to the bag. But I love the pen.
Oh, never-ever-never take it to the beach. The whole thing is magnetized and there would be metal filings everywhere. I don't think you could ever get it cleaned up.
Finally, I am not sure if you need lots of memory. I got the 4Gig one and it seems plenty fast. (I was thinking I would get a faster second one if I liked the first one.)[/INDENT]
