Dear all,

I am working with LEICA Geo Office (Version 1,1,0,0; Build: 4123; dongle: SuperPro) to process DGPS measurements taken in the field in Congo, Bukavu. I am struggling with the processing, as I found out that we shut down the reference station after each field campaign, whereas we should have let the reference station active the whole time, to have all rover points associated to the same reference. Is there a possibility with the LEICA Geo Office software to process all rover points using only one reference ? It would be logic to take the GPS measurement with the longest duration as a reference point then for all rover points.

Thank you in advance for your help! If more details are necessary, please let me know.

Best regards,

Elise,
I am not certain I understand your question. Your reference stations were not running while you were collecting data, but you had another point that can be used as reference? Is this correct? You can process this single point against your primary reference then process all of the field points to the new field reference. Not the cleanest but it will work. You have to decide what the fitness for use of your data is: error margins, etc.
Are your reference stations aligned with the IGS network? If so, can you utilize some of the other stations as a random statistical check. From the IGS.org website I see a station in Rwanda (NURK), one in Uganda (MBAR), and several in Kenya. In the other direction are staions in Gabon and Nigeria.

If you are using a reference station, the coordinates of that station should be fixed. No matter how many times you turn the reference station off and back on, if it is not moved it is the same point. It may be necessary to rename the reference point campaigns so that all names are the same.
