The?ÿAutodesk???ÿPPK Survey Extension 2022 for Civil 3D??ƒ?? provides an interface for importing GPS data (in RINEX format) for analysis, reporting, and converting it to coordinate geometry points in an Autodesk Civil 3D drawing. Once installed, users can access the Autodesk PPK Survey Extension 2022 for Civil 3D commands via the Autodesk Civil 3D Toolbox.

Under COGO Points Transformation Tools:

  • Coordinate System Transformation
  • Vertical Datum Transformation

Under GNSS Data Processing:

  • Post Process Kinematic Survey

Has anyone used this??ÿ I saw this, but haven't played with it yet.

I haven't but I see it has been around since at least C3D 2019. As mentioned in a previous post, C3D survey capability appears to be a "sleeper" and I suspect there are some folk around who are driving the C3D Ferrari in 4th gear, while most of us are shuffling around in 2nd.

The field to finish has been outstanding for a decade or more, but I have never liked having to use fieldbook format to get the least squares to work.?ÿ

I really wish that a surveyor would put together a comprehensive analysis of all of Civil 3Dƒ??s survey related features (video tutorials would be a huge bonus). I donƒ??t expect C3D to go toe to toe with dedicated survey software packages but if nothing else maybe show where it shines & where youƒ??ll have to look elsewhere for a work around option. I am starting to see it works well for mapping purposes at least but other areas seem vague
