hello

has anybody had a problem with a low memory warning when loading a dwg (small dwg) into the map??ÿ and does anybody know what causes this and how to correct it besides exiting and starting over??ÿ i'm wondering if there's a way to increase memory for the program survce ver 5.08.?ÿ i have an sd card but my internal memory isn't low.?ÿ this happens when i leave it plugged in over night.?ÿ also, when i'm hooked up to a total station, the setup (occupy and backsite screen) screen runs about 5 seconds after i press numbers (i press backsite point and after 5 seconds or so the numbers appear on the screen).?ÿ other than the setup screen, it runs ok.

thank you

Latest firmware installed on Surveyor 2?

?ÿ

Also, make sure you don't have more than 400 or so files in any single folder. This will make them incredibly slow for all file operations.

You only mention total station, but if you are using GPS too and have a geoid, make sure you are using a binary file.?ÿ The old ASCII files require much more memory to load.?ÿ If you are still having problems, please contact Carlson technical support.?ÿ It is free, and they will have more ideas to help you. The number is 606-564-5028

hay Mark - thank you for the reply.?ÿ i'm not sure if it's the latest firmware.?ÿ i'll check.

and there may be more than 400 files in the data folder.?ÿ i have a surveyor+ and it took forever to get it to hookup to the pc...when i finally did there were over 5000 files. but that's a different dilly.

the only time it's very slow is when i go to the occupy/backsite screen for the ts.?ÿ it takes the shot ok...?ÿ?ÿ

?ÿ
