Ok, I'm on Survey 2010 w/ embedded AutoCad, so I thought osnaps was a middle button option?? Why do they keep moving and changing stuff!! It makes my head hurt and the voices are so much louder!! :woot:

I can remeber the mbuttonpan option and right click options as AutoCAD options since at least version 2000 and I see Intellicad has adopted the same options. Unlike some others I like the middle button set to bring up the snaps and right click set for shortcuts. My problem is with Carlson 2013 on Intellicad I have to jam the wheel 3 to 4 times to get the snaps window to stay open. I downloaded the embedded version for trial yesterday and all works fine with it.

The embedded version is MORE than worth the cost differential.
Intellicad has come a LONG way in the last few years, but they still have a little bit to go. In 2 or 3 more years, at their current rate of evolution, they should have a VERY strong package worthy of a test drive. 😉
However, when they reach that point, AutoDesk will probably snap them up, so you'll still need the embedded version. :woot:

Yeah the feel is real close. I did noticed an immediate visual and speed difference when I started playing with the embedded verison. I played with Carlson a little in 1999, which came with an AutoCAD engine, but this embedded version doesn't seem as stripped out as that.

So far, the only thing that seems to be missing is AutoLISP. I am not a "code writer", so I am not really missing that feature. I had a few routines that others had written for me and I found all of them, except ONE, already in Carlson.
The ability to have 2 separate (or more) figure prefix libraries operating off of the SAME Descriptor Code list, the ability to work directly off of the coordinate file and working my surface in "real time" is a bit mind blowing at first.
The DOWN side is that what used to take me 24 hours to do can now be done in 10-12 hours and that really kills off all the Over Time I used to get. :-$
