Has anyone else encountered this message when opening a drawing in Carlson for that previously had a rotation set in land desktop?
When you select yest it rotates the drawing to match "the survey". The problem I am having is that after you do it once, and rotate the drawing to the proper WCS, it continues to prompt you when you open up the drawing in the future, even after it has been saved.
Anyone else encounter this and or have a solution?
Thanks
I haven't seen this behavior but haven't had a lot of Softdesk/LDD rotated drawings sent to me either. A first quick suggestion would be to make sure all layers are unlocked. Otherwise, feel free to send me the drawing and the version/build of Carlson you are using and I'll take a look (lnelsonATcarlsonswDOTcom).
After You Do It, You Leave It Only, Never Ever Rotate
I worked with Carlson in an LDD office. I loved it when I got that prompt and I always said yes. You have to wait a bit because Carlson is dealing with a lot of poorly thought out parameters. Once Carlson is done, you get it to look right with the "Twist Screen" command. BTW, I always sent back the correct ascii/txt file. Some draftsmen never could figure out how I could work in a dwg without there other files.
The draftsmen could never figure out what I did or how I did it. The other professionals understood that the point coordinates agreed with the drawing and worked properly.
LDD was most dangerous when you had to merge two different projects on 2 different rotations, especially with different rotation points.
